PURPOSEFUL HORSE LIFE
Horses need a purposeful, stimulating and social life just like us humans; a wise herd (bullies shouldn’t lead) or balanced friends, ability to make decisions for own wellbeing and to wander around, right food and good physical care. Life without humans should be as fulfilling as possible, then soulful interaction with people can be added to enrich both the horse and human.
I SEE YOU
Every being is important and beautiful within. We all respond to how we are seen and communicated to. Behaviour tells only a part of us and it’s beautiful to see and understand each other beyond that. To see who we truly are, to communicate from there, to meet. When animals feel that we truly want to understand them and communicate openly, one of the biggest step in the relationship has been taken.
BODYAWARENESS
Horses want to connect with our inner energy that springs from calmness and sensitivity. Our way of breathing, moving and carrying ourselves speaks a language of it’s own and animals read this naturally. BodyAwareness teaches us to understand and improve this language, and thus is the door to deeper communication and understanding, flow, health - and a greater awareness of reality.
AUTHENTICITY AND INDIVIDUALITY
The uniqueness and authenticity of each being is richness Noora empowers and preserves full-heartedly. There is no one form or method everyone should fit into. Authentic time of learning to be together and to know each other’s free voice is the heart of loving relationship.
RELAXED TOGETHERNESS
Trust and quality of being and moving starts from the relaxation. Tensions are not always obvious but can hide in the breath, organs, fascias, deep in the muscles and mind. Tensions weaken the body and create stress, pain, reluctance and nervousness. Relaxation shows us another way of being and moving and allows the body and mind strengthen and shine. It’s a beautiful door to trust and openness. Noora doesn’t teach real healing methods, but values them.
MOVING FROM ENERGY
When the body knows how to be relaxed we can explore movement with more energy; it can mean a walk together or finding a play together. The art is to have sensitivity without fear or force: horses shouldn’t respond to our energy with fear or tension. Stress is too easily used to create response but stress always dims the inner energy, health and spirit. Nature is still always also sensitive, not unresponsive and numb. The most dialogue happens in soft, trusting response to each other. Relaxation and activity together can give spirit wings.
BALANCE AND CALMNESS
Moving in balance without tension is actually more challenging for horses already in simple exercises than we often realise. Gentle training helps their body and mind to become aware how to stay balanced instead of getting emotional and out of balance every time they turn, start to trot or get distracted, for example. This way they can grow into calm confidence of movement and of themselves.
LEADING
Communicative leading can build the relationship in so many ways. Both the horse and human learn to stay focused on each other, to move together and to communicate with more delicate energy. We practice leading with the body and energy, not with the rope. Neither the horse or human should push or pull each other. Leading helps to create direction in togetherness, balance, relaxation and trusting connectedness to each other.
TOGETHERNESS IN LIBERTY
Togetherness = opening up to each other. Chasing the horse to force a connection is not our way. Togetherness is built on trust and mindfulness. Liberty happens naturally when the horse and human have learned: to appreciate and read each other’s energy, to communicate respectfully and to feel good with each other.
FEELING, INTUITION
Animals read our inner pictures and emotions and communicate back in many ways. The more we are in touch with our energy, body and calm mind, the more we can recognise and deepen this communication. And the more we live this delicate dialogue and intuition, the clearer they get. Humbleness and trust towards inner compass enhance each other.
SUPPLENESS, SOFTNESS, BALANCE
Body is the vehicle for the spirit; even a joyful play requires good balance and suppleness. BodyAwareness is as important for horses as it is for humans. Noora teaches energy aware and body aware groundwork to create more softness and suppleness in horses and people. Noora studies and recommends her students to study this subject deeper with emphatic teachers who teach the whole mastery of this subject.
GROUNDWORK IN LIBERTY
When the relationship and skills allow we can expand the dialogue into practicing the strength & suppleness work in liberty. With tack we can easier help -not force- the horse to find relaxation in tensed areas and strength in weaker areas. In liberty this work requires a great dialogue, trust and ability to stay calm and focused. Liberty practice shows honestly the missing elements in the dialogue, helping us grow into another level in team work, awareness and compassion.
SPIRITED AND BALANCED MOVEMENT, DANCE
The most beautiful movements are born inside of us and expressed by our body; expressing our own spirit, inner melody, elegance or fire, freedom.! If a horse or human moves only from pressure but doesn’t feel the joy within, it is not a dance. Moving together with joy of spirit and also in harmony together is possible when both are tuned in to each other and themselves, balanced, awake and free enough in the body. Tension free strength and suppleness give more freedom. There is no one way a movement should look like; everyone have their own unique dance!
CONNECTED RIDING
Riding is another beautiful form of connectedness, a delicate dialogue. Riding is a gift horse can offer us, not something humans can demand to have. All the physical help and the sensitive communication that has been built on the ground continues now on the back of the horse. Noora’s special love is the sensitive unity of riding where two bodies and souls find the joy of feeling each other and thinking and moving together. It is made or relaxed sensitivity and all the other elements before.
SOULFULNESS
When we look into the eyes of the horse, can we see openness, happiness, deep wisdom, the soul? Do we see and hear the silent communication? Everyone’s path is different but the eyes of the horse are our compass. Horses ask us to guide them with our wisdom and not ego, and they empower us to find our dignity with selflessness, depth, clarity and compassion. Who is actually guiding who, let’s say life wisdom guiding us all.
My teacher of life was the that-time-withdrawn horse named Porne who showed me, after opening up, the depth, wisdom and sensitivity of horses. I knew I had found my life path although I didn’t yet know where it would lead me.
I dedicated my life for learning more and forwarding this wisdom Porne had showed me. I moved to Holland with Porne and in the same year I started Klaus Hempfling’s schooling in Denmark.
Klaus’ unique awareness, sensitivity and respect for the soul of horses opened my eyes and heart truly. For years I’ve had the honor to learn from him. What Klaus is and does is a result of huge dedication to the entire authenticity of his life. He doesn’t provide methods.
Klaus can open people’s eyes, help them to feel and show his way to authenticity. The rest is up to people themselves, like my path is on my own responsibility.

DEEPENING OF THE JOURNEY
Zensitive groups have become appreciated and beautiful way of diving deeper into the path that Noora teaches; connectedness to ourself and horses, Bodywisdom, energy awareness, soulful communication, feeling and respectful training. It is a path of sharing, opening up and growing, not just ‘learning’, so it’s invaluable to do the journey together with like-hearted people.
Zensitive group = a group of about 10 people who make a commitment to 4 meetings together within 1,5 - 2 years. Once started no new people are taken into the group so that the group can grow safely and protected together.
Zensitive groups are for people who have been at least once in the open clinic and feel that this is the path they want to walk further. The groups are being born when a good-hearted and active person enough wants to put a group together.
LEARNING FROM EACHOTHER
Nowadays Noora has more Zensitive groups (and some other similar formats) than open clinics because for both the students and Noora they have proven to serve the growth beautifully. It is at the same time a deeper personal journey and a journey of growing together. To be seen and to see openly, and to witness the growth of everyone is richness we can give to each other. Nothing in the growth is forced, everyone is allowed to be who they are.
LEADERSHIP, HORSES AND YOURSELF
Leadership is not about controlling and demanding, but about understanding and supporting, connecting to grounded and intuitive wisdom and acting from there. It offers calmness and clarity when someone cannot find it. Leadership is about giving and receiving honest feedback, combined with the ability to create uplifting solutions. It is all about serving and making others feel important. In wise horse herds the leaders radiate and create groundedness, centeredness, wise communication and emotional intelligence. Horses are fantastic teachers in what true leadership is about.
“Today Noora Ehnqvist opened a new door for Hal and I to walk through together, I have been crying like a little girl since and it feels so wonderful to finally know I’m allowed to be me - thank you” - S.P.
HONOURING AND TRUSTING LIFE
Human left brain likes to follow analytical systems and learn methodologically because it’s clear and reduces insecurity. Left brain has an important role in creating structure, having clear logic and being focused. Yet it is only part of the truth; Nature is filled with uniqueness, creativity and endless individual forms of the rules.
Human right brain is about creative way of thinking, love, intuition, colours, feeling. It is the language of the heart and spirit. Right brain shows how much more there is than logic; it helps us to feel, to love, to honour freedom and to think holistically; it opens up our intuitive wisdom and nonverbal communication.
Another view is the importance of the dialogue between our two ‘brains’: the one in the head and the one in the stomach. Knowledge and beliefs should have an open dialogue with the truthfulness of the body, feeling and intuition. Animals are always true to their feelings and bodies. And “there are no proof that consciousness lives in the mind.”
Horses understand us humans best when we can act from the unity of left and right, mind and body; we need clarity, gradual steps of learning, knowledge, understanding and biomechanics. Just as much we need creativity, truthfulness of the body, individual feeling, freedom, love and intuitive wisdom. When different parts have learned to work harmoniously together, in our own unique way, we have learned to understand, feel and trust life so much more. We have become wiser.
THE BODYWISDOM
Body holds the answers that people are seeking. In Zensitive groups BodyAwareness is an important part of the journey into self-awareness, aware communication, flow and deeper dialogue with our surrounding.
BodyAwareness is about listening to one’s own body, so people who are pregnant or who have limitations due to injuries etc are equally capable of doing BodyAwareness. It is a good practice for people not to just blindly follow an instructor but combine the awareness coming from the teacher with being truthful for themselves and finding their own way and own practice.
“Dear Noora, you are one of life's treasures. You come and enrich our lives and give us a deep, deep understanding or ourselves and all that surrounds us and that which is within us. You have revealed possibilities that we were previously unaware of and left us with a sense that life will never be quite the same again. The journey to paradise is often challenging but the rewards for meeting those challenges from a calm and open place are limitless. My gratitude for your presence with us and to all of those who gathered here this weekend is beyond measure. “ - G.L.
PURPOSEFUL HORSE LIFE
The wellbeing and happiness of horses are based on a purposeful, activating and social life. This means mostly living in a suitable herd (with a balanced leader) or friends, ability to make choices for own wellbeing, space that invites to roam around instead of standing passively / running nervously, enough food and good care. Then activities with people can be added to enrich the lives of both horses and humans. All clinics are held in places that support these values.

BODYAWARENESS
The way we move, breathe, carry ourselves and even think is a language of it’s own and animals read and speak this naturally. BodyAwareness is the key to understanding and improving the inner language; the door to the deeper communication and connection. BodyAwareness also helps us to unite activity with relaxation, thinking with feeling, logic with intuition. It brings us flow, health - and a greater awareness of reality.
HANGING OUT - SHARING LIFE
Spending undemanding time together, feeling good close to each other and sharing life together build the strongest and most beautiful relationship. Love grows in freedom. Hanging out is the starting and returning point, the loving and free space of togetherness.
”After participating in the clinic at the beginning of this year I repeated your words to myself day after day. 'To truly see and feel the emotional intelligence and fairness of horses we need to live in our body instead of our head. We need to stop trying to know and hear and instead start to listen, feel and receive while staying in our strength, then your horse has the space to show him/herself and to be there for you'.”

“We are so blessed to be living in times when there are such enlightened teachers. Noora is the absolute real deal in my book and gives great soul and body guidance for horses and humans. Although I have only spent a few clinics worth of time with Noora her influence lives on in me. She teaches a lot about love, honesty and finding an authentic path that is very fresh, truthful and light.” - S.B.
